Aries Season & Ostara - A New Cycle Begins!

March 20th - Sun 🌞 enters Aries β™ˆοΈ, Spring Equinox, Ostara πŸ‡

The Sun enters Aries today, where it will be through April 19th. It is also the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere - meaning that the day and night are the exact same length of time and we are halfway to the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. Ancient Pagan traditions called this day Ostara in celebration of the goddess Eostre (also known as Astarte and Ishtar) - many people continue this celebration today!

This is the beginning of a new cycle, as Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac. It’s a clean slate. Spring has arrived and we welcome the birth of new life - everything from budding plants to baby lambs. Now is the time to think about what journey you want to go on during this next astrological cycle. What is your theme or focus this year?

πŸ”‘Key Traits of Aries: Driven, Courageous, Competitive, Impulsive

Aries is the warrior of the Zodiac - never afraid to take on a challenge and fight for what they find important and believe in. Aries loves to take the lead, have interesting debates, start new projects, and never hesitates to take action. It is in taking action that Aries creates opportunities for us all.

JOURNAL PROMOPTS

  • What actions can you take to improve your circumstances?

  • Aries is also very energetic β€” how can you make the best use of your energy for the next few weeks?

Aries as a quote: β€œDoing begets more doing. It sounds simple, but I’m a firm believer that action can solve so many worries, and just powering through no matter what, can give you the confidence you need when you feel like you’ve got nothing to offer.” Reese Witherspoon, Sun and Jupiter in Aries

Ostara Ritual

Choose a seed or seeds to plant in your garden or in a planter in your home -something that brings you joy! An herb, a flower or a vegetable!

Before you plant your seed, hold it gently in your hands, take a few deep breaths and visualize what you want to manifest or β€œgrow” the most at this time in your life. See and feel the energy of your wish going into the seed, feel it glow. Keep this intention as you plant it. Gently pat the soil and seal your wish.
